The Federal government has acknowledged the value of the Creative Industries in reports such as the 2013 Valuing Australia’s Creative Industries. “Total output, value-added and employment multipliers are all higher for creative industries than equivalent values for all Australian industries.” The Hunter and Central Coast regions are ideally placed to grow their own mainstream screen, TV and digital industries, expanding on locally produced content, jobs, skills, services, networks and a nationally acknowledged cluster.

Screen Hunter, working with consultant, Jill Moonie (Creative Fast Forward), is in the early stages of planning a strategic 3 year professional development and industry engagement program aimed at building the capacity of the regions screen content producers.

The vision is to develop a leading edge, creative and collaborative regional screen industry producing content for an international audience. This project, with the involvement of regional and state stakeholders, will engage with the local existing and emerging screen industry practitioners and services to create partnerships and programs which will develop the back bone behind the vision.

We would like you to help us identify the potential partners and opportunities, goals and commonalities that unite them, to compliment the vision of this project.
