Designing a Children’s Book COURSE

Don’t leave your children’s book idea gathering dust.

Children’s books are one of the strongest and fastest growing markets in the publishing world. There has been a revolution in recent years in the way people buy and read books, but children’s books have turned publishing trends on their head. Despite (or maybe because of?) the prevalence of digital devices in children’s lives, the passion for reading illustrated, engaging stories is only growing in popularity.

If you have an idea for a story or a character and would like to bring your idea to life, this comprehensive course covers all aspects of children’s book writing, design, illustration, critique, and production. The approach will be practical and hands-on, as well as utilising current digital formats and workflows.

3 month course with writer, designer and publisher Bettina Hodgson. Commencing Thursday 2 August. Early bird fee $1,650 available for registrations by 16 July.
