Critical Animals 2016 Volunteer Call Out

Calling All Animals!

This year’s Critical Animals symposium M.o.M (Madness of Many) is calling all lovers of art, new media, print, literature and performance to put their best foot forward and join the team as volunteers.

As part of TiNA 2016 the Critical Animals festival is held from Thursday the 29th of September to 02 October all over Newcastle.

In order to make this festival great we are calling out for all people engaged in the arts to join us and work with an incredible team of artists, writers and coordinators to be immersed in the thriving arts scene in Newcastle. No special skills required, just enthusiasm and an animal appetite for fun!

We need:

Assistant Curator x 1 – Working with the Critical Animals curator to install and deinstall our official exhibition at The Lock-Up.

Event Assistant x 2 – Event Planning and production over the TiNA weekend. Greet and usher the public for events, support to presenters, setting up equipment.

Photographer x 1 – Photography of panels/installations/events for the Critical Animals Marketing Catalogue

Installation Invigilators x 4 – Assist in the maintenance of public installations.

Official Exhibition – Opening Night Invigilators x 4 – Assist in monitoring the gallery/artworks and distributing program on opening night as well as bar tending. RSA preferred.

If you are interested send us a quick email at and we will be sure to find you a spot on the team! Make sure to include you contact details, age and details of which events you would like to work on or where your interests lie.

We can’t wait to hear from you!

The Critical Animals Team,
