Creative Streets EOI – Maitland NOW OPEN

Maitland City Council is calling for Expression of Interest for their Creative Streets program which funds artists to create temporary or semi-permanent works for public spaces across the city identified as being in need of transforming and revitalising. The program encourages works to connect with the place and enable people to engage with the places in which they are situated. The program encourages all art disciplines including, but not limited to, visual artists (including multimedia, printmaking, sculpture and textile), performers, filmmakers, storytellers and designers.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open until 29 July 2018.

Artists may also select from the priority site list identified by Council. Building and structural limitations apply and modification to existing infrastructure will not be permitted.

Artists are invited to attend a FREE workshop with Octapod at Maitland Regional Art Gallery on Thursday 5 July from 5.30pm to 7.30pm that will assist artists to develop high quality applications for the Creative Streets program. Auslan interpreted event.
