Artist Support Quick Response funding provides professional development opportunities for NSW-based professional artists and arts/cultural workers to support skills development, take up outstanding opportunities of significance for their practice and/or develop markets.

Funding for projects that are solely focused on the creation, development and presentation of work should be submitted to Arts and Cultural Projects or another appropriate Arts and Cultural Development Program category.

Create NSW accepts applications for the Artist Support Quick Response funding category all year round. However, please note that from close of business Friday 22 December 2017 to 9am on Monday 8 January 2018 the Create NSW office will be closed and staff will be unable to respond to queries during this time.

If you submit an application to this program between 4 December and 7 January, please be aware that you will need to allow up to 4 weeks from 8 January for your application to be assessed and processed. These timeframes should be taken into consideration when preparing your application.

Applications are received throughout the year for activities occurring between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2018. Please allow up to 4 weeks for your application to be assessed and processed.

Who can apply?

  • Individual artists, practitioners and arts/cultural workers
  • Partnerships and groups
  • film practitioners should apply to Screen NSW for project funding.

Please note: priority will be give to applicants who have not received Artist Support funding in the last 12 months.

Funding range

Up to $5000.
