Short+Sweet Newcastle 2011: 30 November - 3 December 2011.
Short+Sweet Newcastle 2011 will be presenting 10 exciting short productions, all original works developed for this competition and festival. The 10 productions are vying to win a spot in the Short+Sweet Sydney 2012 season of the Top 100, with an international pool of entrants.
Last year, Newcastle had three productions invited to Short+Sweet Sydney, one in the Top 100 and two in the Wildcard Series.
The City of Newcastle is proud to produce this festival through the Cultural Development and L!vesites teams. Newcastle has joined Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Mumbai and Singapore in developing and demonstrating new and emerging writers and performance artists in this Short+Sweet format.
