You saw him in Looking through a Glass Onion, and you've probably heard his music (and voice) in a whole lot of other productions without knowing it, and he's coming back to Cessnock on his own to mesmerise you with his amazing talent. 

Stewart D'Arrietta will perform at the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre's fourth birthday celebration and 2013 program launch to be held on 9 November from 7.30pm.

Stewart was John Waters' other half in the sell-out production, Looking through a Glass Onion, which has toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally to critics' acclaim.  The production was so popular when it first came to the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre, it returned again four months later to another sell out audience.  Stewart co-created the John Lennon homage with Waters more than 20 years ago and it has withstood the test of time because of its sheer brilliance.

Stewart's long and prolific career is a testament to his talent and perseverance as an artist in musical theatre. With five studio albums to his name and five critically acclaimed live productions, Stewart's wings span from Australia to New York.

In 2010, he returned from the Big Apple where he enjoyed a nine month run of his Tom Waits show Belly Of a Drunken Piano. It garnered rave reviews from The New York Times.  

Stewart's other critically acclaimed credits include: Concerts: The White Album Concert, Café Brel, Reunion, Satango; Films/Documentaries and Drama's: The Cut, Ocean Star, Trapped, Whitsunday Ash, Sugar Inc, Blood Oath, Colour in the Creek, and the Emmy Award winning documentary Faces in the Mob.
