Location

Open Studios is a little like a treasure hunt. Entering a space that is normally closed to the public - discovering the artists in the building you may walk or drive past every day and not know what is behind the closed doors is part of the thrill of visiting open studios. You will meet artists who are just beginning, or who have been practising their art for years. There is also the opportunity to buy something totally unique direct from the artist.

Our Open Studios display a wide range of visual arts – painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, crafts, jewellery, design, documentary making and recycled materials.

There will also be free entertainment, children’s activities, raffles, sausage sizzle, and gallery open.

As part of this annual event our onsite galley Newcastle Art Space (NAS) will be open presenting our annual Members and Tenants exhibition, including a wide range of works by our artists from the 2nd to the 18th of September. All are welcome.
