This is a free festival! This is Not Art is one of Australia’s leading independent arts festivals. Since its inception, This is Not Art has been dedicated to the exploration of experimental and emerging arts media and concepts, providing a platform for innovative and passionate culture makers to present their ideas.
This is Not Art (TINA) is a supercharged convergence of writers, performers, thinkers, independent and industry musicians, creative researchers, electronic artists, dilettantes, and DIY culture makers in a showcase featuring over 400 local, national and international artists.
Held annually in Newcastle, Australia, the festival presents a diverse program of over 250 events, across five days. In 2011 TINA will be held from the 29th of September until the 3rd of October.
This Is Not Art is brought to you by the Octapod Association, a Newcastle based arts organisation that acts as resource base for creative projects in the Hunter region.
