This course provides a hands-on introduction to making timber furniture. Participants will be making a simple box, such as a jewelry box, bread box or document box (similar pictured). This piece features hardwood timber and both simple and more advanced joinery, with an emphasis on the use of handtools. In creating this box participants will be exposed to many common production techniques, laying a good foundation for further and more advanced timber furniture making.
