Poets, rappers, storytellers and public speakers are invited to take part for free in the heat. They get two by two minute sets to strut your stuff to five judges chosen from the audience. The two winners will go to the state final with the chance of going on to the national final and the chance of winning an all expenses paid trip to two major literary festivals in China and Bali. The heat will be hosted by previous winner Miles Merrill who will also perform.
