Local vendor, The Gabby Horvath Collection, will be attending Summer Art Bazaar with hand crafted jewellery, functional silver work and innovative design.

The high-level collection will be located at the Hunter Silver Art stall.

Gabby Horvath submitted jewellery as her major work for the HSC in 1968 going on to graduate in Visual Arts at the National Art School (Newcastle) in 1972. Her work, whilst original and innovative is presented in the forms of jewellery, functional pieces and decorative works. Her designs reflect traditional and contemporary influences. Gabby lives and works in the wine region of the Hunter Valley concentrating on works for commissions, sales and exhibitions.

In 2012 HAN will be holding their tenth Summer Art Bazaar which has been growing in popularity and size since the very first Art Bazaar held in Laman Street under the gorgeous fig trees. Summer Art Bazaar moved from Laman St to Civic Park two years ago which has seen an increase in the number of stalls and crowds of over 10,000. Wander through the colourful & vibrant Civic Park, Newcastle on Saturday 1 December from 9am – 3pm & discover the work of more than 100 designers & artists. Fulfill your Christmas shopping at the home of the original Art Bazaar with unusual gifts & one-off pieces.

Art Bazaar features a variety of premium handmade products including fashion, jewellery, accessories, fine art, photography, sculptures & homewares. Art Bazaar is the ideal platform for the community to invest in locally produced visual arts, craft & design, including professional practitioners, who will have their work showcased in a supportive and creative atmosphere. Shoppers will enjoy meeting the artists & designers who have carefully created for the reputable event providing access beyond the boundaries of the gallery. The warm & friendly setting allows for stallholders to always be approachable to chat about their work.
