Poets, rappers, storytellers and public speakers of all kinds are invited to take part for free in the heat. The only restriction is that the words you speak have to be your own. So no Shakespeare soliloquies. You get two by two minute sets to strut your stuff to five judges chosen from the audience. The two winners will go to the state final with the chance of going on to the national final and the chance of winning an all expenses paid trip to two major literary festivals in China and Bali. The heat will be hosted by previous winner Miles Merrill who will also perform. If you’d like to take part, give Mark Reedman a call on 0409 382 509.
