Tower Cinemas Newcastle, in addition to bringing you a fantastic selection of films from around the world, also have an exciting line up of opera and theatre performances coming from this September.

In celebration of this explosion of theatre into Newcastle we’re inviting you to submit works with a theatrical theme – opera, ballet, musical, tragedy, comedy, classical or modern, choose your poison. Whatever the production or musical number, whether you’re viewing the show from on the stage, front of house, back stage or the orchestra pit, we want to see what The Theatre means to you.

Open to: Everyone! Artwork should in some way respond to the theme 'The Theatre'.You can submit a single work, several works or a body of work. Need some inspiration? Check our blogpost for ideas.

Applications due: Wednesday 29 August, 2012. Please email us at artifactsaired@gmail.com with a bit about yourself and what you intend to exhibit so we can get an idea of numbers - please include medium, dimensions and any images if possible.

Artwork and completed entry forms due: Sunday 2 September, 2012, to be delivered in person to Tower Cinema Gallery, Tower Cinemas, 183 – 185 King Street, Newcastle 2300 between 11 – 5pm. Entry form is attached, or can be downloaded from our blog - http://towercinemagallery.blogspot.com .
