Just sending you some information about This is Not Art 'Sunday Fair' which will take place in Newcastle this October 2nd. If you're a zinester, artist or designer you may be interested in coming!!

If you’re not familiar with the festival This is Not Art is one of Australia’s leading independent arts festivals. Since its inception, This is Not Art has been dedicated to the exploration of experimental and emerging arts media and concepts, providing a platform for innovative and passionate culture makers to present their ideas.

This is Not Art (TINA) is a supercharged convergence of writers, performers, thinkers, independent and industry musicians, creative researchers, electronic artists, dilettantes, and DIY culture makers in a showcase featuring over 400 local, national and international artists.

Held annually in Newcastle, Australia, the festival presents a diverse program of over 250 events, across five days. In 2011 TINA will be held from the 29th of September until the 3rd of October.

One of the highlights of TINA is the annual ‘Sunday Fair’ – a large Zine and Artists Market. Around 5000 people visiting the event to browse buy or trade zines and to discover and snap-up work by independent and emerging artists. 

The event has around 100 illustrators, zinemakers, photographers and other crafty folk as stallholders and is connected to the National Young Writers Festival to name just one of TINA’s partners.
