Borders Bookshop, Kotara has teamed with postgraduates of the University of Newcastle to present a creative writing course, 2 hours a week for 6 weeks.
We examine aspects of writing including character development, setting, dialogue and voice plus contemporary poetry.

State member for the Greens, Lee Rhiannon, will be in Newcastle to launch 'Darwin's Dilemma: the damage done and the battle for the forests,' by local Newcastle writer, Paula Morrow.

Cate Kennedy is the author of the highly acclaimed novel The World Beneath and an award-winning short-story writer who has twice won The Age short story competition.
