Theatrefest Hunter 2011 is a Festival and Competition of 1 Act Plays performed by Theatre Groups from the Hunter and surrounding areas. This fun and exciting unique event is the first of its kind in the Hunter and will be held at the Cessnock Performing Arts Centre.

Brief Bio: Magdalena Ball runs The Compulsive Reader. She is the author of the recently released novel Black Cow, the poetry book Repulsion T

Will is an Artist Blacksmith and designer based in the Hunter Valley just outside of Branxton. He makes a huge variety of work including indoor and outdoor sculpture, gates and handrailings, wall hangings, lamps, furniture, candle sticks, eclesiastical work, memorial peices, the list goes on.

The Junction Art Crawl is an initiative of local artists in central Newcastle.  Four art studios will be open to the public on 4 Saturdays during 2011- all within walking distance of eachother.  It kicks off on Sat 30th April - then on 25th June, 27th August, and 29th October.  The studio addresses are:
