Inspirations for Civic theatre precinct.
Hunter theatre goers will be spoilt for choice next year with Newcastle's civic precinct hosting 30 productions for hardened audiences, music and dance lovers and families.
Newcastle council last week launched the season, which is the most ambitious in the six-years history of the subscription series.
Civic precinct manager, Daniel Ballantyne said the Inspirations subscription season was recognised as one of the country's most exciting and diverse line-ups of international, Australian and locally produced live performance.
Wallsend Markets & Music
Wallsend will be full of spirit this saturday, December 6th, as celebrations count down to Christmas.
The Wallsend Town Markets and Music, with the Combined Churches of Wallsend, will prvide Christmas and family entertainment at the town's rotunda.
The live entertainmenmt from 5pm will feature Endless Praise, Evensounds, the Samoan Community Choir, the Aspire Performance Academy, the Combined Church Choir and the Waratah Brass Band. The night includes a visit from Santa Claus and the revealing of the Christmas light display.
The entertainment will complement a full day of Christmas festivities in wallsend, including street performances, markets and kids' activities from 9am.
Bombshell Burlesque
Newcastle's classiest event, the Bombshell Burlesque is prepping for another grand night of music, theatre, performance, comedy and dance at the Gallipoli Legion Club, Beaumont ST Hamilton.

Lost Property
Shakespeare et al presents “Lost Property”, written and directed by Anne Frost. The drama is set on a dairy farm on the outskirts of Stroud, once a thriving milk producing area. It is about the division of a family farm and the changing landscape of rural NSW.
