OCTAPOD 20th BIRTHDAY BASH
July 29 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm$25
CELEBRATING OCTAPOD’S 20 YEARS
SATURDAY 29 JULY 2017
Help us to make merry – join us at our chilled Birthday Bash. This relaxed event is to celebrate all our amazing achievements as an organisation as well as reconnect with some of our awesome alumni. It’s also to thank those people, both past and present, who have dedicated their time by volunteering. We hope to bring together people from our region who help make our local arts environment the vibrant and diverse scene that it is.
The Birthday Bash will include the launch of our brand new and exciting online timeline, our posters from the past exhibition, fundraising games, tunes by Synchromute who will be mixing up an eclectic brew of demo tracks from artists involved in Electrofringe/TINA events in the early years from 1997-2001 plus nibbles by our good friends at Vinyl Café.
The funds raised will help Octapod to continue for another 20 years and to keep doing what we do best – promoting the Arts in the Lower Hunter. It will also enable us to keep producing the ever-popular and thought provoking TiNA.
We believe that the arts are critical to the social, cultural and economic health of Newcastle and the Lower Hunter region. So help us continue our work and join us on our new journey towards a service organisation in the ever-changing cultural landscape of our region.
Event supporters include: Design Centre Hunter (TAFE NSW), Create NSW and Adlib Creative.
Don’t forget to bring a bag of lollies and some gold coins to help us fundraise for another #20yearsofOctapod
