Inside Out is a professional development and mentoring program comprised of a series of inclusive and accessible workshops, professional development opportunities and peer support meetings designed to build the confidence, skills and networks of visual artists of all abilities in Maitland. The group, also called Inside Out, will also work towards a creative presentation and aim to become autonomous and self managing after twelve months. There is no cost to participate.
Inside Out is led by local artists Denise Duffy and Riona Tindal who co-facilitate regular meetings and work as part of the group and with the community to build creative and professional foundations, skills and relationships for other emerging and mid career artists in Maitland. With the support of Maitland Regional Art Gallery and Octapod, the Inside Out group operates as an Artist Run Initiative which provides participants opportunities for:
Professional skills development through guest presentation and workshops
Networks and social inclusion
Peer-reviewed arts practice
Ideas sharing and opportunities for artistic development and presentation
Inside Out is for:

- Creatives who live in Maitland Local Government Area (LGA) and have the time and interest to be involved
