Grant-Writing Masterclass with Tamara Gazzard

Join Tantrum’s Producer and grant-writer/fund-seeker extraordinaire, Tamara Gazzard, for a deep dive into the art of applying for and winning grants. This evening masterclass is aimed at emerging artists and first-time grant seekers who want to know where to look for funding opportunities and how to put together a compelling application to fund your arts project. This workshop is open to emerging artists 18yrs+ and will provide information applicable to all artforms.

Tamara Gazzard is a producer, theatre-maker, performer, and arts educator. With Tantrum, Tamara has worked as Producer since 2016, as well as writer/director on a range of projects (Manning the Fort , 2016; Stories in our Steps, 2015; Singleton Tales, 2014; Opening Doors, 2014-2017) and a Teaching Artist  from 2013-2015. Tamara is one third of Newcastle’s professional contemporary performance company Paper Cut and has co-devised and co-produced all of the company’s work since 2012, including Spent (2014), No One Cares About Your Cat (2015) and Hello, Stranger (2016). Tamara has extensive experience writing successful grant applications for Tantrum, Paper Cut and as an independent artist. She is passionate about building the capacity of regional artists to be able to sustain professional arts careers in regional places.

As a result of funding from the Australia Council for the Arts this masterclass is offered at a highly subsidised cost to all participants.
