This new Network was established at a forum on 10 March 2011. It is a sub-committee to Council's Port Stephens Strategic Arts and Culture Committee.
Initial functions of the network:
- Advise Council on the local cultural priorities
- Maintain contact with organisations supported through the Cultural Projects Fund
- Broker local collaboration on community driven projects
This Network will involves anyone involved in the cultural life of the area, which includes the following communities:
- Boat Harbour
- Corlette
- Fingal Bay
- Nelson Bay
- One Mile
- Salamander Bay
- Shoal Bay
- Soldiers Point
- Taylors Beach
Getting the new network started
The first forum will be held 10 March, 5:30-8:00pm at Port Stephens Community Arts Centre (Shoal Bay Rd, Nelson Bay)
