Fern is an emerging multimedia artist and filmmaker based in Newcastle, NSW Australia.

"I'm inspired by the Land, and people's strength, grace and resilience. The advocacy and community work I have been a part of for many years is the inspiration for my art. I use sustainable materials in my art work as much as possible. This includes using locally made recycled wood frames, handmade paper, recycled and found objects and 100% organic, fair trade made cotton Tshirts."

Fern graduated from Hunter Street TAFE in 2008 with a Cert IV in Multimedia and graduated from Murdoch University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts (double major) in Sustainable Development and Media Studies.
