The Dance of Life, established, owned and operated in Newcastle by Sonya Manzalini is the longest operating dance school of its kind in the Hunter region of NSW Australia.

During this time I have built the school into a professional place of teaching for traditional folk and gypsy style belly dance.
I have also fused Bollywood and Flamenco styles with some of the traditional aspects of folk and gypsy style Belly Dance to add to the school's large repertoire of choreographies."

The school also boasts a professional Dance Troupe with the Dance Of Life Drummers and band Tariiq Turuq.  The troupe cater for a wide variety of local and statewide festivals, community events and corporate functions.

The School 

The Dance of Life School was established in 1996. After running "SAAM Belly Dance" for approximately 4 years as a hobby, I decided to make belly dancing my career. The Dance of Life quickly became known for its professional standards in teaching and performance. 

The Performance Troupe

The Dance of Life Troupe incorporates professional dancing with live music both in the form of drummers and Arabic Gypsy Fusion band, "Tariiq Turuq". Our professional dance troupe, drummers and band are available for your function or event.
