NSW Located west of Newcastle, the Cessnock LGA includes the major settlements of Cessnock, Pokolbin, Branxton, Greta, Kurri Kurri and Weston. The area is widely known for its vineyards, which is Australia’s oldest wine region.
Cessnock City Council provides a number of services and facilities to support community and cultural life in the area. It also has plans in place which identify current needs together with strategies that are being pursued to further improve the quality of life for our residents and visitors.
