These works are an endeavour to achieve expression and mood through non-figurative abstract painting. They are about colour, light and texture. Paint is applied in impasto linear form so that there is optical blending of colours when viewed from a distance; but on closer inspection the colours separate and the painting appears to be dynamic and change as light reflects off the multitude of different surfaces.
