Anna Jaaniste is an artist, art facilitator and curator recently relocated to Newcastle from Sydney.
Anna is driven by her interest in the sensual processes of living - the languages of the body as nature. She sees art as a way of life.
She has a strong interest in working with people to facilitate creative processes, and has worked in a large range of settings with people from diverse backgrounds, including school students, elderly people, people from non-English speaking backgrounds, and people with mental illnesses, physical and intellectual disabilities.
She enjoys connecting people (artists and "non-artists") across the community - across all disciplines and fields - in experimental, meaningful and challenging art collaborations. She has a particular interest in unconventional art settings.
Anna's business meri-maa creativity facilitates workshops and courses on creativity. Currently on offer are Dynamic Life Drawing classes... Life drawing classes with a difference. Tuesday nights in Islington. For more info, see Anna's website above.
Anna is always happy to meet people with diverse ideas and approaches, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
