There are three categories for this competition with prizes for each category...

 If you’re under 18 and can piece together 500 words then this competition is for you. Hunter Writers Centre’s Young Writers Competition is open to anyone under 18 years living in the Hunter or Central Coast region. The theme is open (so you can write on any topic). Entries must be 500 words or less.

Youth Rockin' the Black Dog (YRBD) is an annual youth music competition, managed by the Hunter Institute of Mental Health in partnership with Black Dog Institute and Hunter headspace, with support from the local music industry in Newcastle, The Loft Youth Arts & Cultural Centre and with sponsorship from local business.
